What is the definition of a portrait?

Lately, I have not been able to get any publishes at all.

I know I say I don't take photos to get published, but I want to maintain the quality of my photos, so it's a problem when I can't get published.

 

My main focus is on women's portraits, but lately I'm wondering if my rudimentary definition of portraiture and my way of thinking are wrong.

Any advice you can give me would be helpful for my future work.

Hi it's always best to keep each posting to one image only and not tag it on to an earlier posting. Your image I not a lover of profile glamour images but have seen many great ones over the years. See attached I have done some work on it but feel it's not taken it to the higher level. Crop off the top / Dehaze +25 . Sone dodge and burn work / Topaz AI sharpen and de - noise..

I am unfamiliar with 1x and the tags are strange.

I understood that I need to cut the black area above and apply more image processing.

I will try this on my next piece.
